The Amtrak E-8s came from 14 owners. The Amtrak E-9s came from the UP. The E-8Bs came from UP. The E-9Bs came from UP & Milw.
Amtrak owned 216 E units - one third of the total E-8s & E-9s

The E-8s were first numbered in the 200-300 series.
